Google TV is overkill (for me).

I’ve written before about my awesome WD HD TV — a sub-$100 glorified video card enclosure with a couple of USB slots and a remote. Now I’m ready for the next step — no, not the WD HD TV Live, but a sub-$100 set-top box with a couple of USB slots, a WiFi radio and a YouTube player.

Pioneer One = Television Industry 2.0

If Hollywood isn’t afraid of Josh Bernhard and Bracey Smith, they may soon be. They are the first film/television-makers I’ve heard of to crowdsource the funding for their latest project, Pioneer One — not just a TV pilot but an entire series, and not to get the attention of a traditional big media distributor but to bypass big media entirely.
