A Symbian Anna extravaganza: the software.

It’s probably not enough to convert anyone from Android or iOS, but current Symbian users should feel right at home with the Anna update.

Nokia needs a MeeGo phone. Right now.

It’s an odd thing for yours truly to witness the Linux community, usually somewhat measured in their praise for any one thing, collectively wet themselves over Android. This isn’t at all a knock against Google’s mobile OS (or the Linux community, necessarily), but quite the opposite — for FLOSS phone users Android is their saviour from the iPhone.

And these are the people that Nokia needs to reach. Immediately…

Why aren’t Linux phones using SyncML?

There’s one thing about the N900′s Debian-based Maemo OS that I find bewildering and infuriating at the same time. It’s the lack of full support for SyncML — and in its place, Microsoft Exchange (?!)
