Trying Disqus again… Comments?

Back in April I damned Disqus and its rival IntenseDebate as solutions in search of a problem. And now, four months later, I’m giving Disqus another go.

As was the case previously, there are two significant cons to using the service…

All I can say is, I’m truly sorry. Just like the typical Apple user I used to be I got so caught up in geegaws that I lost sight of what’s truly important — your valued feedback on my posts….

Bleeding edge blogging platforms like Posterous allow you to ping Facebook and Twitter to keep the discussion going; WordPress comments don’t do this by default. And I’m sure you’ve all felt the pain of entering a comment only to notice an embarrassing typo after it’s been published.
