My last paper book (I hope).

The grand total of all free ebooks in the known universe that I can recommend and you legally download is three.

Tim Wu’s “The Master Switch” — a book of revelations.

If you want to save the Internet rather than hasten its demise, read this book. It’s important.

Jaron Lanier’s You Are Not A Gadget is a fantastic read, provided you stick to the very beginning and the very end of the book. As for the stuff in the middle, well… I just don’t agree with it at all.

The Hacker Ethic, 2010 edition.

The voice is that of Dan Pink, giving a talk at the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). The drawings were done by a UK company called Cognitive Media.

And the message? The age of the office drone may well be over and the almighty dollar might not be so almighty after all.
