I’ve a bit of a surprise in store for my 250th post; unfortunately, this isn’t it. Even worse, this humble blog’s next milestone won’t be officially celebrated until Wednesday, September 27th. In other words, there won’t be a post next week.
And before you say “How is this even a post?!” let me tell you about some of this week’s other news…
Dyscultured’s 150th Podcast
I’ve been rolling with this fine crew since episode 54. Ninety-five podcasts later I’m still pontificating on many of the same subjects — copyright, linux, mobile phones, et al. I can’t promise the same legendary performance as our 100th anniversary show, but if you’ve nothing better to do tonight you’re welcome to listen in as we record live.
I was going to devote this entire post to Dyscultured’s 150th, but that would be shameless.
Lookit me, I’m a mod!
Yesterday I was made the official moderator of /r/Nokia on reddit.
My predecessor has been MIA for over a year now, so I put in a request to take over and got my wish. All Nokia fans are welcome to post links there, but all blogspam will be promptly deleted.
I was going to devote this post to my less than 24 hours of modding experience, but in all honesty I don’t really know what I’m doing there yet.
Nothing Else To Report
While I continue to explore the viability of a Google-free Android phone my SIM card is staying put in a cheap and cheerful handset running Nokia’s aging S60 mobile OS. And despite that weird BIOS replacement Ubuntu Studio is running without issue on my desktop computer.
If there was something else you wanted me to write about in future posts leave me a comment and let me know… Thanks for sticking with me.
